The Better Beetle Blaster is a patented disposable trap, that is designed to fit neatly between outer frames in the top box. The holes on top let the Small Hive Beetle in, but are too small for bees to get through. It also acts as a sentinel device.
Each Beetle Blaster can hold about 25ml of food-grade vegetable oil which acts to trap the SHB.
The traps should not be completely filled to make sure SHBs cannot climb out.
To increase effectiveness, the traps can be partly filled with apple cider vinegar with the oil floating on top. * WINNIPEG LOCATION *
